  • This site is dedicated to the distribution of artist's books by Endre Tót. Our aim is to give them greater visibility by facilitating access to each work, in a search space open to all. With the help of the artist and Berenika Partum, we have compiled a list of 42 titles covering a period from his very first book nothing. (samizdat) in 1971, to 1991, when Masterpieces from Cimabue to Warhol (1971-89 ) was published. This set is enriched by letters or extracts from letters sent by Endre Tót to the Swiss publisher Thomas Howeg from 1974 to 1980, or to Jean Sellem, owner of the GALERIE S:T PETRI ARCHIVE OF EXPERIMENTAL AND MARGINAL ART, which exhibited the artist twice, in 1975 and 1979, and published 3 editions of Endre Tót.

    Precise information gathered from the artist, his friends, publishers or museums with whom he collaborated, completes the knowledge needed to approach the artist's publications. In this work of collecting, cross-referencing and documenting, we see ourselves as archivists, leaving it to art critics and historians to make the most of this documentary material, which we hope will be useful for their research.

  • Digital technology makes it possible to modify, delete or add information at any time. So this site is open to everyone. We'd like to be able to improve it until it's beyond reproach. To achieve this goal, we strongly encourage everyone to provide additional information about a work. Corrections, clarifications, visual documents and descriptions can all be added to the existing information, enriching our knowledge of Endre Tót's highly personal work. Write to us.   • All these books, together with the artist's letters and other works, will be on show at Galerie aKonzept in Berlin from January 19 to April 28, 2024. On this occasion, a catalog will be published, bringing together all the information published on this site.


  • Endre Tót has authorized us to publish his editions in the digital format of "Flipbooks", so that visitors, researchers, historians, enthusiasts or collectors can leaf through his complete artist's books. These books are works of art in their own right, contemporary and constantly renewed. Through this site, the density of Endre Tót's singular visual and written language is made available for study, inviting visitors to enrich the information published here and thus ensuring a better understanding of the artist's work.
